RECYCLING AFTER CHRISTMAS - INFORMATION FOR WENHASTON FOLK
Any unwanted food, cooked or uncooked, can go in their brown bin, while seasonal items such as wrapping paper, cards, and cans, can join foil, plastics and cardboard in the blue-lidded bin. Glass bottles and jars can be taken to the nearest glass recycling bank - hopefully it won't be already full!
Real Christmas trees with trunks and branches up to one and a half inches in diameter can be disposed of in the brown bin. You need to cut the tree so that it fits into the bin with the lid down. Any excess waste can also be taken to any of the household waste recycling centres at Leiston. You can also try just leaving your tree next to your brown bin.It will probably be collected - worth a try!
You may like to have some information about local suppliers and how to make your Christmas a little greener. As usual, suggestions are always welcomed - and please let us know if there are any errors at info@wenhastongreen.org
